I have been a patient of Fern Hanover for the past half year.  This followed similar work with three other therapists in previous semesters.  Though I am not an expert in the field, I have had 19 years of experience in academic and this gives me a foundation to write this letter of evaluation.

I have been highly impressed by Ms. Hanover’s professional abilities.  Simply put, she is one of the most gifted teachers I have ever met.  She had an excellent way of inspiring people and enlivening instruction and practice.  She is tireless, patient, good natured, and motivating.  In terms of substance, she is informative, knowledgeable, and interesting.  I have learned form her much more than from her predecessors, so that I could understand the cause of my problem and how to alleviate it.  She made sessions that would otherwise be tedious into fun and into a learning experience with her good cheer, high intelligence, and subject matter interest.  I have greatly benefited.

Ms. Hanover’s professional standards of preparation and reliability seemed to me, as a patient, consistently high and meticulous.

This is to serve as a letter of reference for Ms. Fern Hanover who has been a professional associate of our practice since 1995.  Ms. Hanover worked with our practice as a bilingual Spanish speaking pathologist.  In that capacity she provided diagnostic and treatment services to elementary school aged children in the Manhattan Public Schools.  Ms. Hanover also completed her CFY year while supervised by our practice.

Ms. Hanover was observed to be energetic, and creative in developing lesson plans, and implementing treatment for this population.  We received positive feedback throughout her CFY regarding her teaching style, and her unique way of establishing rapport with her students.  Ms. Hanover incorporated her unique background in music and voice training into her day-to-day therapy activities.  She was a valued and welcomed staff member at the practice as well as in her field placement.

I am a Japanese teacher of English and took Fern's accent reduction course.
She helped me improve my pronunciation in an enjoyable way; sometimes she merrily sang songs to demonstrate correct English sounds.
What is the most remarkable with her is her ability to perceive the slightest difference in phonemes.  She could quickly discriminate my accented pronunciation
and reproduce the same sound accurately.
In this way I  could find the problems with my own pronunciation.
What's more, it is fun to study pronunciation with Fern.
